Teresa Lindhurst is an experienced violinist and teacher from the Flint, MI, area. She began her studies at the Flint Institute of Music in the Summer of 2000. But her love for music and the violin was noticed at a very early age as she danced around the house, playing her “air violin” around age 3. Miss Lindhurst has over ten years of private lesson teaching experience and an additional eight years of student teacher training. Teresa is on the board of directors for the St. Cecilia Society in Flint, MI.

Musical Experience

  • Started performing in ensembles at age 9
  • Over 15 years of performing in the community (weddings, funerals, memorials, parties, events, etc.)
  • 3 years with the UM-Flint Chamber Strings
  • 1 year with the UM-Flint Orchestra
  • 5 years with the Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra
  • 2 years with the Dort Honors String Quartet
  • 1 year with the FSPA Honors String Quartet
  • 3 years of orchestral trips (Toronto, Cincinnati, and France)
